Trieste-Ronchi dei Legionari Airport is situated in the province of Gorizia, 38 km from Trieste, in the area of the municipality of Ronchi dei Legionari.
Since July 1997, the management company of Ronchi dei Legionari Airport has been Aeroporto Friuli Venezia Giulia S.p.A. In 1998, work was concluded to construct the new airport, which consists of two terminals, one for passengers with a capacity of 1.5 million per year, and one for cargo. It has a runway of 3,000 metres and a maximum capacity of twenty aircraft at a time. Trieste Airport offers direct, scheduled and charter flights to various Italian and European cities.
