NYO Airport

Stockholm Skavsta

Stockholm Skavsta airport is the fifth largest airport in Sweden, after Stockholm Arlanda, Gothenburg Landvetter, Stockholm Bromma and and Malmö.

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is located 100 km south of Stockholm.

It is Scandinavia's low-cost airport (here Ryanair opened its base in 2003 and Wizz Air started flying in 2004), an ideal base for tour operators and low-cost airlines.

The Stockholm Skavsta terminal building is capable of handling 3 million passengers a year and is designed for further expansion including a rail link (Ostlänken) which provides a station within the airport area.

The airport has been privately owned since 1998, since the Municipality of Nyköping put up for sale 90% of the shares, held since 2013 by OMERS Strategic Investments, a pension fund for Ontario municipal employees in Canada.
