Castellón Airport, MAD

Castellón Airport serves the city of Castellón de la Plana and is located in Spain near the municipalities of Vilanova d'Alcolea and Benlloch, 32 kilometers north of the city of Castellón and 100 km from Valencia.

The terminal building has two floors: the ground floor is dedicated to arrivals and departures while the boarding gate area is located on the first floor. The airport offers all the necessary services to passengers from check-in to boarding as well as a Tourist and Airport Information Point on the ground floor of the terminal, in front of the arrivals gate, as well as shops, bars and cafes on the ground floor of the terminal and in the boarding lounge, including a Duty Free.

In collaboration with the Museu d’Art Contemporani Vicente Aguilera Cerni (Macvac) of Vilafamés, Castellón Airport hosts “Sala 30” with spaces for art in the passenger terminal.

Since its opening to traffic in December 2014, Castellón airport has embarked on sustainable development, diversifying its activities. It has modern infrastructure and is designed to receive up to millions of passengers per year. The European destinations reachable from the airport are mainly offered by low cost airlines such as Ryanair, Volotea, Wizz Air and Iberia Regional - Air Nostrum.

The sociedad pública Aeropuerto de Castellón SL (Aerocas), registered with the Generalitat Valenciana, is the owner and manager of the infrastructure.
