Eurowings launches sustainable fuel purchase on board
Offsetting CO₂ emissions and raising awareness of sustainability during flights thanks to the purchase of a special smoothie
Eurowings is introducing a new initiative to promote sustainable flying: on board, passengers can purchase the "SAFt" bio-smoothie for €19.50, helping to offset the CO₂ emissions generated by the airline's average flight. The programme combines the use of sustainable fuel (SAF), which is produced from renewable sources such as waste oils, and support for climate projects with partners such as myclimate and Climate Partner.

SAF reduces emissions by up to 80% compared to fossil fuel. The smoothie is organic, with no added sugar, and produced in Germany from locally sourced ingredients thanks to our partner kraftschluck.
This option allows travelers to actively participate in air sustainability, raising awareness of the benefits of SAF and making flying greener. In addition, Eurowings offers an additional emission compensation system via Planet Blu, which can be booked online before the flight.
