                    Advanced photovoltaic plant at Linate
Agreement between SEA and A2A for a 10 GWh green project per year to decarbonise Milan's airports, with operations expected from 2025
SEA, the management company of Milan airports, together with the A2A Group and in collaboration with Esapro, has signed an agreement for the construction of a photovoltaic system inside Milan Linate airport. This project is a further step in the partnership aimed at the decarbonization of Milan's airports, which began in 2022 with the acquisition of SEA Energia by A2A.
The plant will use advanced technologies, including mono-axial solar tracking structures and high-efficiency mono-crystalline, bi-facial and anti-reflective photovoltaic modules. An annual production of over 10 GWh of renewable energy is expected, exploiting a green area of about 9 hectares in the north-west area of the airport. The infrastructure will be operational from 2025, and the Temporary Grouping of Companies A2A - Esapro will take care of the management and maintenance for the next 9 years.
