"White Entropy": art meets travel at Malpensa
Milan Malpensa airport becomes, for four months, an unexpected space for contemplation thanks to White Entropy, the photographic and installation exhibition by Jacopo Di Cera, scheduled from 5 December 2025 to 31 March 2026 in the spaces of PhotoSquare. The exhibition officially enters the schedule of the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad, bringing a profound dialogue between art, nature and contemporary sensibility to the main Lombard airport.
A sensory journey dedicated to the mountains
The project was born as a broad reflection on the Alpine landscape, interpreted through a visual language that combines photography, installations and aesthetic research. Di Cera transforms the mountain into a suspended, almost abstract place, where light, white and matter tell the fragility of the environment and its ability to regenerate.
The artist invites travelers to slow down their gaze: the PhotoSquare thus becomes a pause point in the airport flow, a place where visual immersion replaces the excited rhythm of departure. The exhibition is designed as an emotional crossing, where the images dialogue with the architecture of the airport, offering a moment of silence and meditation.
A cultural experience in the heart of an international hub
With White Entropy, Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) consolidates its role as an airport open to contemporary languages, transforming transit spaces into areas of culture accessible to all passengers. The initiative is part of a vision that enhances art as an integral part of the travel experience: a gesture of welcome that enriches the time of waiting and creates new connections between the public and the territory.
The exhibition is made possible thanks to the curatorship of GLAC Consulting and the artistic coordination of Massimo Ciampa, who together bring to the airport spaces a project conceived to enrich the passenger experience with a cultural break of great visual impact.
