The network of destinations reachable from Cagliari for the summer
The summer season will officially open on Sunday 29 March: everything is ready for Summer 2026 at Cagliari Airport with growing numbers and an increasingly international network of connections. 2025 closed with 5,254,433 total passengers and a 7% growth in the international segment compared to the previous year.
THE NUMBERS OF THE SUMMER 2026 SEASON
• 109 total connections to 26 countries
• 68 international and 41 domestic routes
• 12 new line connections
• 31 airlines operating at the airport.
A total offer of over 5 million seats is expected for this summer season (+11% compared to 2025).
THE 12 NEW PRODUCTS: FROM FRANCE TO THE MIDDLE EAST
• France: easyJet strengthens its presence by launching Bordeaux and Nice.
• Italy: strong expansion of Aeroitalia with 7 new routes: Alghero, Olbia, Bologna, Cuneo, Florence, Lamezia Terme and Pisa. A new destination also for the carrier Ryanair , which activates the connection to Forlì.
• Austria: Eurowings activates the new route to Salzburg.
• Middle East: a new direct flight to Tel Aviv operated by El Al (in partnership with Sun d'Or).
RYANAIR FLIGHTS
With an offer that exceeds 2.5 million seats and 41 reachable destinations, Ryanair strengthens its presence in Cagliari. In addition to the launch of the new route to Forlì, the Irish carrier's schedule at the airport includes the following confirmations:
• International: Budapest, Carcassonne, Brussels Charleroi, Krakow, Karlsruhe-Baden, Dublin, Düsseldorf Weeze, Frankfurt Hahn, Gothenburg, Madrid, Malta, Nuremberg, Palma de Mallorca, Paris Beauvais, Porto, Poznan, Seville, London Stansted, Stockholm, Valencia, Vienna.
• National teams: Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Rome Ciampino, Catania, Cuneo, Forlì (new), Genoa, Milan Malpensa, Naples, Palermo, Parma, Perugia, Pescara, Pisa, Rimini, Turin, Trieste, Venice and Verona.
AEROITALIA FLIGHTS
Aeroitalia is also the protagonist of the Summer season. The airline achieved a record increase in capacity (+30%) thanks to a total offer of around 1.5 million seats. The result is the result of the activation of the 7 new routes, the confirmation of the flight to Catania and the strengthening of the Territorial Continuity, which will see peaks of 10 daily frequencies on Rome Fiumicino and 9 on Milan Linate.
LUFTHANSA GROUP FLIGHTS
The Lufthansa Group confirms its leadership in the German market with the flag carrier offering an overall increase of 37% on the Frankfurt and Munich routes. As for the other carriers of the Group, growth of almost 40% for the low-cost carrier Eurowings which, in addition to the new Austrian route of Salzburg, confirms connections to Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. Double-digit growth also for Austrian , which increased capacity in Vienna by 23%. After the excellent performance of winter flights, the Swiss carrier Edelweiss renews Zurich with a capacity growth of 11%.
EASYJET FLIGHTS
The easyJet carrier, in addition to the news of the French routes of Bordeaux and Nice, confirms its network with connections to Basel, Geneva, Lyon, Milan Malpensa, Naples and Paris Orly , increasing the overall offer for Summer 2026 by 27%.
FLIGHTS TO NORTHERN EUROPE
On the Northern Europe front, KLM doubles its presence with a 114% capacity increase on the route to Amsterdam. The flight will be daily and operational from the end of March to the end of October. The schedule of Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is also consolidated, confirming its strong interest in the Cagliari airport by enhancing the route to Copenhagen with a 23% increase in capacity.
Double-digit growth also for Luxair, which strengthens connections with Luxembourg by increasing the number of seats offered by 35%.
FLIGHTS OF OTHER AIRLINES
Notable development also for French carriers in the capital: the flag carrier Air France increases capacity to Paris Charles De Gaulle by 45%, while Transavia France marks a +52% of seats offered on Paris Orly compared to last summer season.
With regard to the IAG Group, Iberia and Vueling consolidated their presence in the Spanish market, with capacity increases of 47% to Madrid and 5% to Barcelona respectively, while British Airways confirmed the connection to London Gatwick with an increase of 2%.
Positive signals also from the Spanish carrier Volotea , which reconfirms the domestic connections to Florence, Venice, Verona and the international route to Marseille, recording an overall growth of 24%.
Strengthening also for Italian carriers with Neos, which at the airports of Bergamo, Milan Malpensa and Verona increases the seats on sale by 13% and Sky Alps which reconfirms the routes of Bolzano and Bern with 10% more capacity.
The link with the Czech Republic is increasingly strong thanks to Smartwings, which operates in Prague with five weekly frequencies throughout the season.

Cagliari Airport also has a rich program on the charter front, which combines traditional routes with new connections to new destinations.
