Airport Development Plan 2029-2043: from 7 July to 7 September 2026 it is possible to submit comments on the airport masterplan through the dedicated website, with public meetings, technical tables and a final report by October

Milan Bergamo Airport is launching the public debate process linked to the airport masterplan, a tool provided for by the Public Contracts Code to promote transparency, participation and discussion in decision-making processes relating to major infrastructure works and investments.

ENAC has included, among the evaluations of the new National Airports Plan 2025-2035, a potential growth of Milan Bergamo airport up to about 23.4 million passengers per year by 2035.

After the press conference held on 6 July 2026, the public debate officially opened on 7 July 2026 with the publication of the Project Report on the dedicated website dibattitopubblicobgy.it. Entitled parties will be able to send comments and proposals, consult the available documentation and participate in the planned activities.

The collection of contributions will remain open for 60 days, until 7 September 2026. During this period it will also be possible to communicate with the person in charge of the public debate via the email address responsabile@dibattitopubblicobgy.it. All contributions collected will be published on the website.

The calendar includes a meeting on 13 July to present the public debate and the airport masterplan. On 23 July, two in-depth technical tables will be held: one aimed at institutions and one dedicated to local associations.

The coordination of the activities is entrusted to the person in charge of the public debate, identified by SACBO as Filippo Ozzola of Poleis SC. By October 2026, the person in charge will present the Final Report, which will summarize the observations and main issues that emerged during the process. Subsequently, by December 2026, SACBO, in coordination with ENAC, will publish the Final Document, intended to guide subsequent design choices.

The path thus aims to make the discussion on the future development of the Bergamo airport more accessible and transparent. The submission of formal observations and proposals is allowed to subjects entitled by art. 40, paragraph 4, of Legislative Decree 36/2023 (institutions, associations and committees). Citizens can still send their contributions through established committees, representative associations or the Municipality of reference.
