Open - FCO Smart Workplace
The new and avant-garde office building dedicated to companies and professionals traveling from Fiumicino airport will be ready by the end of 2025
This morning the foundation stone was laid for "Open – FCO Smart Workplace", an innovative office building developed by Aeroporti di Roma of the Mundys Group, located in front of Leonardo da Vinci airport in Fiumicino, recently awarded Best Airport in Europe, by ACI Europe, for the sixth time since 2018 in the category of airports over 40 million passengers.

Designed and built internally by the subsidiaries ADR Ingegneria and ADR Infrastructure, according to the most advanced criteria of sustainability and architectural innovation, the building will house the new Rent-a-Car headquarters (a fundamental service for passengers), completing the Terminal-facing management offer with two existing office towers . The completion of the works is expected by the end of 2025.

"Open - FCO Smart Workplace" is designed to become a point of reference for the business community that gravitates around Rome Fiumicino airport, offering workspaces in a modern, sustainable and technologically advanced hub, suitable for coworking, smartworking, business meetings, events and workshops that can be booked exclusively. Each area is designed to maximize productivity and collaboration, with environments suitable for both companies and individuals looking for temporary or coworking spaces.

The services and spaces of Open - FCO Smart Workplace are designed both for companies, with offers of office rental for long periods or in pay-per-use mode, and for individuals who need temporary offices or coworking spaces before or after their flight with all the most advanced services: 24-hour reception; lunch delivery service; break areas with fridge and microwave; agreements with neighboring parking lots; Customized locker-rooms.
The strategic position of Open-FCO Smart Workplace, within the "Leonardo da Vinci" ecosystem, will offer a unique competitive advantage accessible to both local residents and domestic and international passengers. The proximity to Terminals 1 and 3, combined with the availability of large parking areas, shared mobility services and the proximity of the Fiumicino Airport train station, will position Open as an ideal hub for business and collaboration on a global scale.

The project, led by ADR's Real Estate Business Unit with the support of Design International, is focused on innovation, flexibility and sustainability, aiming to ensure energy efficiency and comfort for users.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of Aeroporti di Roma Vincenzo Nunziata, the CEO Marco Troncone, the Chief Commercial Officer Marilena Blasi and ADR's Top Management.
Rome Airports
Aeroporti di Roma, a Mundys Group company, manages and develops the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino and carries out other activities related and complementary to airport management. Fiumicino, the first and only airport in Italy with a Skytrax rating of 5 stars for excellent standards in quality of service, has two passenger terminals and is dedicated to business and leisure customers on domestic, international and intercontinental routes. Ciampino is mainly used by low-cost airlines, express-couriers and General Aviation activities. In 2023, the airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino reached a total of 44.4 million passengers. In the last seven years, Aeroporti di Roma has received numerous awards, recognitions and quality certificates.
