New digital kiosks with interactive map at Venice airport
The manager SAVE S.p.A. of Venice's Marco Polo airport has installed four interactive kiosks that allow passengers to easily find their way around the terminal thanks to a digital map that can be consulted directly on site.
The new stations are located before security checks, with two kiosks located on the ground floor and two on the first floor, in order to offer immediate information already in the early stages of the airport journey.
A digital map to find your way around the airport
Through the new interactive screens, Travellers can quickly consult the location of all the main services of the terminal, including:
✔ airline check-in,
✔ security services and boarding gates,
✔ shops and restaurants,
✔ airport services,
✔ other points of interest in the terminal,
✔ Information on departing and arriving flights.
The system also allows for intelligent search: by selecting a specific point, the kiosk indicates the fastest route to reach it directly from the user's location.
Accessible routes and smartphone navigation
Particular attention has also been paid to accessibility. In fact, the kiosks include a mode dedicated to passengers with disabilities or mobility difficulties, which offers barrier-free itineraries avoiding stairs or inaccessible paths.
Once the route has been identified, passengers can scan a QR code on the screen and continue browsing directly from their smartphone. The digital map will also be integrated into the airport's website in the future, allowing Travellers to plan their journeys in the terminal even before departure.
Venice Airport thus strengthens its path of innovation and inclusiveness, focusing on digital tools that make the airport easier to live in and more accessible for all passengers.
