JR's art at Charles de Gaulle

A monumental installation welcomes passengers at Terminal 2E, while a free passport invites you to discover five iconic places in Paris

Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport brings JR's art to the path of Travellers with a project inspired by "La Caverne du Pont Neuf". The initiative includes a monumental installation in Terminal 2E and a special passport to collect and complete during a visit to Paris.

From 31 May, international passengers can observe a huge stamp designed together with the French artist in Terminal 2E, area K. The work occupies about 400 square meters of the glass walls, while the part located on the taxiways measures eight meters in length and six meters in diameter.

The installation introduces Travellers to the universe of "La Caverne du Pont Neuf" and recalls the previous interventions carried out by JR on the main monuments of the French capital. The collaboration with Paris Aéroport began in January 2026, when the artist used a historic hangar in Paris-Orly to try out the elements of the work in full size.

A free passport to discover Paris

Passengers arriving at Terminal 2E are offered the "La Caverne Passport" free of charge, available in the baggage reclaim area while copies last. The special distribution days at the airport are 16, 17, 19 and 26 June.

The document is a souvenir, but also a guide to explore Paris through five stops related to JR's works: Pont Neuf, Esplanade du Trocadéro, Opéra Garnier, Louvre Pyramid and Galerie Perrotin. At each location, visitors can look for the Paris Aéroport tricycle decorated in the colors of the project and receive a dedicated stamp. The hunt continues on the weekends of 20, 21, 27 and 28 June, according to the times and itineraries indicated by the organizers. For those who land at Charles de Gaulle, the initiative transforms their arrival in the city into the beginning of a cultural journey between the airport and the center of Paris
