Airidea connects Milan Bergamo airport to Genoa, Perugia and Rimini
Milan Bergamo Airport joins the initial network of AIRIDEA, a new regional air mobility project created with the aim of making travel between Italian cities that are currently little or not directly connected easier and faster.
Sales of flights to Genoa, Rimini and Perugia open today for the summer season (until October 24, 2026), while the operational start of the network is scheduled from 9 June 2026 for BGY Airport. Airidea will connect Milan Bergamo Airport to Genoa three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday), Perugia (every Tuesday), and Rimini (every Saturday).
AirIdea flight prices: Bergamo-Genoa from €155.00; Bergamo-Rimini from €186.00; Bergamo-Perugia from €216.00. One-way fares are fixed; AirIdea does not apply dynamic pricing.
The start of operations involves the use of a 34-seat Saab 340 B, chosen to meet the demand recorded on the routes and ensure greater capacity per single rotation. The BAE Jetstream 32 is also expected to enter service in the coming months. During this initial phase, AIRIDEA will be joined by the Maltese carrier Luxwing, which will operate the project's routes for the summer season.
AIRIDEA
AIRIDEA is a new Italian regional aviation company based in Genoa, created to bridge the gap in national air connections, where more than 70% of regional routes are not served by adequate direct connections. It operates with a flexible and scalable model, based on direct point-to-point flights with an average duration of about 45 minutes per route, designed to make travel faster and more efficient for both business and leisure traffic. The development plan envisages the achievement of 3 operational hubs by 2028, a fleet of up to 12 aircraft and an estimated traffic of around 245,000 passengers per year. Info: www.airidea.it
