Wizz Air increases the offer of flights from Venice

New routes and more frequencies from Marco Polo for the summer to Alghero, Alicante, Bilbao, Malaga, Naples and Seville

Summer 2026 opens with a significant enhancement of connectivity from Venice Marco Polo Airport with Wizz Air bringing forward to 1 July 2026 the arrival of the fourth Airbus A321neo based at the Venice airport, accelerating the development of the Summer season and expanding travel opportunities for passengers in the Veneto region.

The most awaited news concerns the strengthening of the domestic and international network. From 1 July, the VeniceNaples connection starts, with 7 weekly frequencies until the end of October and a further increase to 11 weekly flights from December (fares from €14.99). A strategic route that connects the North-East to the South of Italy with greater flexibility and more distributed schedules.

Also from 1 July, the new seasonal VeniceAlghero route debuts, operating three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), with fares from €29.99, strengthening connections between Veneto and Sardinia.

On the international front, the early expansion allows for the summer launch of new routes to Spain:

  • Alicante (3 weekly flights from 2 July),
  • Bilbao (4 weekly flights from 1 July),
  • Malaga (4 weekly flights from 1 July),
  • Seville (3 weekly flights from 2 July).

With these innovations, Wizz Air reaches 26 destinations in 16 countries from Venice airport: passengers can already access an extensive network of destinations including Athens, Barcelona, Bordeaux, Budapest, Catania, Chișinău, Craiova, Krakow, Iași, Kutaisi, Larnaca, London Luton, Madrid, Palermo, Sharm El Sheikh, Skopje, Tallinn, Valencia, Warsaw and Yerevan.

Since the first flight in 2011, the airline has carried 3.9 million passengers to and from Venice. In 2026, more than 2.5 million places are expected to be available.
