Wizz Air flights from Palermo
Wizz Air chooses Palermo Falcone Borsellino Airport as the Group's 39th base in the world, allowing it to reach a market share of 10.4% and become the second airline in Italy by market share. The reopening of the base in Palermo will offer operational continuity of flights available throughout the year.
From 1 August 2026, the connection to Milan Malpensa (MXP) will be active with two daily flights (14 weekly frequencies), flanked by the flight to Bologna with 11 weekly flights and the one to Venice with 10 weekly frequencies. To complete the domestic offer, there is a flight to Turin, operated daily starting from 4 May 2026.
Alongside the Italian network, Wizz Air also strengthens the international offer from Palermo. From 1 August 2026, the new connection to Tel Aviv will debut, operated three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday), while from 2 August 2026 the route to Sharm el-Sheikh will depart with four weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday).
During 2026, Wizz Air plans to put on sale almost 1 million seats to and from Palermo Airport (PMO), with a capacity increase of more than 200% compared to current levels.
Present in Italy since 2004, Wizz Air continues to invest in the country, which is the first European market in terms of number of passengers carried. In 2026, the company will offer over 27 million seats on the Italian market, with a network of six bases (Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, Venice, Catania, Naples and Palermo) almost 280 routes to 33 countries and 33 Airbus A321neo based.
