Volotea celebrates 10 years of flights to Verona
Ten years of flights and growth: since 2015, the year in which Volotea chose Verona as one of its Italian bases, a solid collaboration has been born between the airline and Catullo airport, based on trust and mutual development. In this decade, the airline has operated over 46,000 flights and carried more than 6.3 million passengers to and from Verona, helping to promote the city and the Verona area throughout Europe.
In 2025, the company connects Verona to 15 destinations in 5 countries (Italy, Czech Republic, France, Greece and Spain) and has over 100 direct employees in peak months, consolidating the Verona base as one of the most strategic in Italy.
The carrier has expanded its network by introducing winter flights to Bilbao and Seville and enhancing frequencies to Paris (Orly), now daily, as well as increasing connections to Barcelona, operated up to five times a week.
For 2026, Volotea plans to offer around 730,000 seats (+4% compared to 2025) on a network of 16 routes in total, including the new route to Aalborg (Denmark), which will depart from Verona airport on 2 April 2026 with a weekly frequency every Thursday and over 9,000 seats available for the season.
Steady growth and excellent results in 2025
In 2015 Volotea offered 9 destinations to 3 countries and employed about 25 people during the summer season. Until October 2025, it carried almost 560,000 passengers from Verona, with a load factor of 93%, a sign of solid and constant demand. On the operational front, 2025 also marks a successful year: the company achieved an OTP15 of 86%, up almost 10 points compared to 2024, and a completion factor of 99.3%, confirming the reliability of the service. Passenger satisfaction is growing strongly, with a Net Promoter Score of 58.8 points (+31% compared to 2024), which reaches 64.2 points among Megavolotea members. 93% of passengers say they are ready to recommend the company, a percentage that exceeds 95% among loyal customers.
A commitment that flies beyond the skies
Volotea strengthens its bond with Verona not only through air connections, but also with cultural and social initiatives. With the #Volotea4Veneto project, the company supported the restoration of over 30 terracotta sketches from the Antonio Canova Gypsotheca and Museum in Possagno. In addition, it is the official sponsor of the Camploy Theater for the 2024/2025 season, confirming its desire to be an active part of the cultural and artistic life of the city.
