Volotea's new routes for next year
Volotea officially opens sales for the 2026-2027 winter season, allowing flights to be booked from November 2026 to March 2027 on hundreds of routes between Italy and Europe. The company, which specialises in direct connections between small and medium-sized European cities, thus confirms its role as a reference carrier for those looking for comfortable, point-to-point and convenient solutions, ideal for holiday weekends, winter city breaks and leisure travel.
The offer involves 23 Italian airports and is part of a phase of further expansion of the network: with the start of sales, Volotea also announces the opening of base number 20 in Montpellier, which from winter 2026 will host new aircraft and 4 new routes to France and Spain, bringing the number of active connections from the airport to 12. The growth goes hand in hand with the strengthening already announced in Florence, Lille and Toulouse, confirming the consolidation strategy in key European markets.
On the Italian front, the strengthening of routes from Rome Fiumicino stands out, where in 2026 Volotea will offer 9 destinations: Olbia in Italy, six French cities (Bordeaux, Brest, Lille, Lourdes, Nantes and Strasbourg) and two Spanish cities, Bilbao and Oviedo, new for next year. The new Rome-Oviedo route, operational from 31 March with three weekly frequencies, will put on sale over 32,000 seats, improving connections with northern Spain and at the same time supporting incoming tourism to the capital. Also from Rome there is also a special flight to Lille on the occasion of the France-Italy match of the 6 Nations Tournament on 22 February 2026.
Important news also for Ancona, from which the new exclusive connection with Madrid takes off, active during the Christmas holidays and replicated in spring and autumn 2026, for a total of almost 13,000 seats. With this route, the international destinations served by the Marche airport rise to three, in addition to the domestic flights to Catania and Olbia. Present in Ancona since 2012, Volotea has exceeded 1 million passengers transported and aims for 1.1 million by the end of 2025, supported by very high quality indicators.
The company is also investing in Tuscany, announcing two new international connections: Florence–Oviedo from 21 September 2026 and Pisa–Toulouse from 6 November 2026, both with two weekly frequencies. Florence, where Volotea has opened an operational base, will reach a total of 17 routes thanks to the introduction of a second aircraft, while Pisa consolidates its international network by joining Toulouse with Nantes and Olbia.
