Rodez is Volotea's tenth base in France
In addition, the company won the Paris Orly-Rodez Aveyron territorial continuity tender. The new route, after Lourdes, is the second in territorial continuity from Paris Orly
Volotea continues its growth by winning the tender to operate the Paris Orly-Rodez Aveyron route under territorial continuity. Starting in September, the company will inaugurate its tenth French base at Rodez Airport to guarantee this service.
The first flight under the territorial continuity regime will take off on September 2, connecting Paris Orly airport with Rodez, the capital of the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region.
Thanks to this new connection, eligible citizens will be able to benefit from 2 daily flights from Monday to Friday and a flight every Sunday at discounted rates. The flights will be operated with an Airbus A319, with a total of 178,000 seats available for the year 2025.
The route to Rodez joins the numerous destinations reachable from Paris Orly with Volotea, including Bilbao, Ancona, Geneva, Olbia, Turin, Verona and Lourdes, the latter also operated under territorial continuity.
With the opening of the Rodez base, Volotea adds its tenth base in France, joining those of Brest, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Lille, Lourdes, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse. This is the third new base inaugurated by Volotea this year, after Brest (April 2024) and Bari (July 2024), and will create over 30 jobs at Rodez-Aveyron airport.
