New route from Rimini to Barcelona with Vueling
Direct flights available on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2 July to 22 October 2025
Vueling, the airline of the IAG group, announces a significant strengthening of its presence in Italy for summer 2025 with the introduction of new international routes. Rimini, in the heart of the Romagna Riviera, will see the introduction of a new direct route to Barcelona, with flights available on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2 July to 22 October. This new connection offers travelers an additional opportunity to explore Spain, expanding travel options to the Romagna Riviera area and the Emilian capital, Bologna.
The new routes are the result of a major investment in Vueling's fleet, which will see the introduction of three new aircraft based at Barcelona-El Prat Airport. This increase will allow a 13% increase in the number of seats available on international routes during the summer season. In total, Vueling plans to offer 27 million seats available during the summer peak, with a focus on major airports and international corridors. The company thus consolidates its leadership in Barcelona, where the number of weekly available seats will grow by 9% compared to summer 2024, reaching a total of 16 million seats.
