New flights from Verona to Bilbao and Seville with Volotea

The airline Volotea, specialized in connecting medium and small cities in Europe, announces important news for winter 2025 from its operational base at Verona airport. Starting from the winter season, two new direct flights to Spain will be available: Seville and Bilbao.

With these new routes, the number of Spanish destinations that can be reached directly from Verona rises to four: in addition to Madrid and Barcelona, which are already operational, passengers will also be able to fly to the heart of Andalusia and the Basque Country. An expansion of the offer that responds to the growing demand for international connections by Veronese passengers and which confirms the strategic role of the airport in Volotea's network.

Flight Verona-Seville
The connection with Seville will be active from November 6 to December 14, 2025, with two weekly frequencies every Thursday and Sunday. The service will then resume after a short winter break, from February 12 to March 26, 2026, thus offering the opportunity to discover this fascinating city even in the low season. With its artistic heritage, historic districts and vibrant cultural life, Seville is a perfect destination for an autumn or winter city break.

Flight Verona-Bilbao
Bilbao will be connected to Verona at two separate times: Saturday 6 and Tuesday 9 December, on the occasion of the Immaculate Conception weekend, and then from 19 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, with two flights a week, every Tuesday and Friday. An ideal proposal for those who want to experience Christmas and New Year's Eve among the urban landscapes of the Basque Country, the exhibitions of the Guggenheim Museum, the starred cuisine and the winter markets.

Volotea's numbers in Verona
The airline achieved excellent results in terms of passenger satisfaction, with a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 61.3 points, rising to 66.8 among customers of the Megavolotea loyalty program. In addition, 94.3% of travelers said they would recommend Volotea, a percentage that reaches 96.4% among frequent flyers, confirming the quality of the service. Operational reliability is also confirmed at the highest levels: in Verona, Volotea recorded an OTP15 punctuality rate of 91%, i.e. flights arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

During 2025, Volotea will connect Verona to 16 destinations, including:

• 8 Italians: Alghero, Cagliari, Catania, Lampedusa, Olbia, Palermo, Pantelleria, Salerno;
• 4 Spanish: Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao (new 2025), Seville (new 2025);
• 2 Greek: Heraklion, Zakynthos;
• 1 French: Paris (Orly);
• 1 Czech: Prague.
