From Cagliari new easyJet routes to Bordeaux and Nice

Sardinia is preparing to experience a summer 2026 full of new travel opportunities and a growing openness to international markets. Starting from 23 June 2026, Cagliari Airport will welcome two new easyJet direct connections to France, significantly expanding the offer of summer flights and strengthening the airport's role as a strategic gateway to the south of the island.

The first novelty concerns the new Cagliari-Bordeaux route, operational every Tuesday and Friday. The connection opens a direct channel to one of France's finest cities , internationally recognized as the world capital of wine. Bordeaux is a destination of great attraction for cultural and food and wine tourism, thanks to its historic cellars, UNESCO World Heritage vineyards , perfectly preserved nineteenth-century architecture and one of the most interesting museums in Europe. The proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the beaches of the Aquitaine coast also makes the city an ideal destination for a trip that combines culture, nature and lifestyle.

On the same day, the new Cagliari-Nice connection will also start, with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which will directly connect Sardinia to the Côte d'Azur. Nice is one of the symbols of the French Mediterranean, famous for the Promenade des Anglais, the old town of Vieux-Nice, traditional markets and an elegant atmosphere that has always attracted Travellers from all over the world. The new route will facilitate tourist flows between two iconic seaside destinations, creating interesting synergies between Sardinia and the French Riviera.

The new routes departing from Cagliari are the result of a structured collaboration with regional institutions and are part of a broader program to develop air connections on the island. Initially designed to respond to the strong demand of the summer season, these flights are part of a three-year commitment that foresees, by 2028, the gradual extension of operations to cover the entire summer. The goal is to ensure greater continuity in international connections and create new mobility opportunities for both incoming tourists and Sardinian residents.

With the launch of the routes to Bordeaux and Nice, the number of connections operated by easyJet between Cagliari and France rises to four. The two new destinations are in addition to the already consolidated routes to Lyon and Paris (Orly airport), further strengthening the carrier's presence on the French market and expanding the possibilities of direct travel between Sardinia and some of the main cities beyond the Alps.
