easyJet celebrates 10 years of base and 25 years of flying in Naples
On the occasion of the 2500 years of history of the city of Naples, easyJet celebrates two milestones in 2025: 25 years since the first flight operated between Naples and London Stansted, which took off on 19 April 2000, and 10 years since the opening of the base at Naples International Airport, inaugurated in 2015.
From that first connection to today, easyJet has carried over 34 million passengers to and from Naples, consolidating itself as the leading company in the Campania airport in terms of investments and presence. It currently has 8 based aircraft (Airbus A320, including 2 Airbus A320 NEO) and more than 300 employees including pilots, flight attendants and ground staff. Thanks to the fixed presence of 8 aircraft, easyJet is the airline with the highest number of aircraft based in Naples.
In 2025, the company will offer around 3.6 million seats to and from Naples, connecting the city with 51 destinations in 16 countries. Among the novelties announced for the summer stands out the new weekly flight to Fuerteventura, operational from 25 June every Wednesday.
2025 is confirmed as a year of growth for easyJet in Italy, thanks also to the opening of new bases in Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino. With 260 active routes to and from 19 Italian airports and a fleet of 38 aircraft based in four operational bases (Milan Malpensa, Naples, Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino), Italy consolidates itself as a strategic market for the company, which expects to carry over 21 million passengers in 2025.
Summer destinations within reach of Naples include Dubrovnik, a historic pearl overlooking the Adriatic, and Split, the perfect starting point for discovering the Dalmatian islands. For those who prefer a city break between culture and wine, Bordeaux remains an ideal choice. Routes to Mykonos, Alicante and exotic Marrakech have also been confirmed.
To celebrate anniversaries, easyjet is launching the "Super Discounts" promotion, active from 6 to 13 May, which offers a 20% discount on 35,000 seats departing from Naples to fly between 19 May 2025 and 22 March 2026.
