dnata and easyJet expand partnership in Italy

To improve the passenger experience, management of last-mile logistics: packaging and loading of retail products, food and beverages on board, at Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino airports

dnata, a leading global player in airport and travel services, strengthens its collaboration with easyJet by extending its catering and retail activities to Milan Linate (LIN) and Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airports.

Under the new agreement, dnata's specialist teams will manage the last-mile logistics, packing and loading on board of the British airline's retail products – including food, beverages and around 40,000 annual meals for the crew – with the aim of ensuring an efficient and quality service on routes departing from easyJet's two new Italian bases.

This extension is part of a collaboration that has already been active since 2022, the year in which dnata took over the complete management of the airline's on-board sales program throughout Europe, taking care of every phase: from commercial strategy to product sourcing, from integrated logistics to marketing and operational support.

With easyJet's entry into the two strategic hubs, dnata extends its portfolio to 37 airline customers in nine Italian airports, supported by a team of over 880 hospitality professionals. In the 2024-25 fiscal year alone, the Italian division served over 9 million meals, of which 2.3 million were at Fiumicino alone, for a total of more than 63,000 flights operated in the country. Globally, dnata Catering & Retail employs 10,500 people and prepares more than 110 million meals annually, operating from more than 60 locations worldwide for full-service, low-cost and VIP airlines.
