New flight from Almaty to Guangzhou with Air Astana
In addition to the new route, the carrier connects Almaty and Astana to Beijing and Almaty to Urumqi
Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, announces the expansion of its network in China with the launch of a new direct flight between Almaty and Guangzhou, operating from March 30, 2025. This new service further strengthens the company's presence in the Chinese market, consolidating China's strategic role in its operations.
Guangzhou, located about 120 km northwest of Hong Kong, is one of China's main industrial centers and a world leader in the textile sector. The city, with over 2,000 years of history, is also a cultural and economic crossroads of primary importance.
Flight details for Guangzhou from Almaty
- The flights will be operated with modern Airbus A321LR
- Departure from Almaty: 20:50
- Arrival in Guangzhou: 05:45 (+1 day)
- Departure from Guangzhou: 06:50
- Arrival in Almaty: 10:20
- Economy Class: Round-trip tickets available from USD 531 (including taxes).
- Business Class: Round-trip tickets starting at $1,561 (including taxes).
Weekly frequencies are set for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, ensuring excellent connectivity for business and leisure passengers.
Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana said China has always been a key destination for Air Astana, with growing demand from both the business and leisure sectors since the first flight to Beijing over 20 years ago. The opening of the route to Guangzhou represents an important step to expand the network in China and strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
