ITA Airways launches the National Flight School
ITA Airways is launching a wide-ranging project with the creation of a National Flight School, designed to train new commercial air transport pilots and strengthen the human capital of Italian aviation. The initiative was born with an inclusive and territorial vocation, providing for the involvement of all the Regions through a structured collaboration with local administrations.
Excellent training and meritocratic access
The Flight School is based on quality, transparency and meritocracy, guaranteeing equal access to training and enhancing talent as a lever for development. The aim is to train highly qualified pilots and technical personnel according to the highest international standards, while contributing to employment growth, with a particular focus on young people.
A project that enhances the territories
A central element of the initiative is integration with the existing training and infrastructure system: airports, technical institutes, universities and training centers become part of a network that aims to create poles of aeronautical excellence at regional and national level. The continuous and multifunctional use of airport infrastructures reinforces the positive impact on the territories.
Economic sustainability and institutional collaboration
The project provides for close collaboration with the Regions, called upon to express interest in hosting the School and to jointly define the operating methods in compliance with the regulatory framework. Integration with public funding instruments – regional, national and European – is also envisaged to ensure economic sustainability and accessibility in the medium to long term.
A look at the future of Italian aviation
With the Flight School, ITA Airways aims to build a reference training model for the sector, capable of investing in skills, supporting qualified employment and strengthening Italy's role in European aviation. A project that looks to the future, combining industry, territory and education system in a shared vision.
