Dining experiences in the lounges, comfort on board with themed dishes and attention to detail for a journey in the name of tradition
During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Emirates offers passengers an experience that reflects the values of sharing and generosity, with dedicated meals, special onboard amenities and exclusive services in lounges and boarding gates.

Traditional refreshments in Emirates Lounges
In the lounges of Dubai International Airport (DXB), passengers will be able to enjoy Arabic sweets, dates and traditional coffee. In the First and Business Class lounges, typical dishes such as Arabic mezze, lentil soup, mixed grill with tahini, lamb mandi with dakous and mint raita, chicken machboos with cucumber yogurt sauce and desserts such as pistachio kunafa, halawet al jibn, basboussa ashta and baklava ice cream will be served. The lounges in Cairo  and Jeddah will also offer a wide variety of typical Ramadan dishes. In addition, Emirates lounges have dedicated prayer rooms and ablution facilities, ensuring a serene environment for worship.

Iftar boxes at boarding gates
At selected major boarding gates, Emirates will provide free Iftar boxes to fasting passengers, containing water, labans, a banana and dates to break the fast in the traditional way.

Announcement of the moment of Iftar on board
To ensure maximum accuracy in fasting times, Emirates uses an advanced tool that calculates the exact times of imsak (start of fasting) and iftar, based on the position of the aircraft, taking into account latitude, longitude and altitude. The captain will announce the iftar moment on board the plane, when the sun sets along the flight route.

Dedicated Ramadan meals on board
Starting in Ramadan, Emirates will offer special Iftar boxes on selected flights in all cabin classes. These balanced meals will be served in packages designed inspired by Islamic art, containing hummus or moutabel with Arabic bread, sweets such as almond chocolate, walnut baklava, dates and apricot balls, as well as zaatar chicken wraps and mozzarella or lamb shawarma with halloumi. All accompanied by laban to facilitate the breaking of the fast. These meals will be in addition to the regular onboard food service.

Throughout Ramadan, Emirates' ice entertainment system will feature religious content and thematic programmes, including Hadi Al Nabi, Kalimat Fi Hob Al Rasool and Kheir Qodwa in Arabic, as well as Ramadan Ki Fazilat and Ramadan Bakhshish Ka Saman in Urdu. The recitation of the Holy Quran will also be available.
