Emirates, a record-breaking year in the global sky
What changes for those who fly with Emirates? In 2025, Emirates consolidated its role as the world's leading international airline, carrying 55.6 million passengers on almost 181,000 flights and celebrating 40 years of activity under the slogan "Fly Better". A year of growth that translates, for Travellers, into more comfort, greater connectivity and an increasingly global offer.
New destinations
The entry into service of the Airbus A350 marked one of the key moments: today 16 A350s connect 18 destinations between Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia, with the extension to the Americas from 2026 thanks to the debut in Montréal. In parallel, Emirates has strengthened its presence in Asia with new routes to Shenzhen and Hangzhou, as well as flights to Vietnam and Cambodia via Bangkok, responding to the growing leisure and business demand in the area.
Premium Economy
Great attention is also paid to the on-board product: Premium Economy continues to expand on modernized A350s, A380s and Boeing 777s. Nearly 40% of the passenger fleet now offers the latest cabins, serving approximately 70 destinations and responding directly to customer requests for a high-end intermediate experience.
Free ultra-fast Wi-Fi
On the digital front, Emirates has launched one of the most ambitious connectivity programmes in the industry, announcing the installation of Starlink Wi-Fi on 232 aircraft. By 2026, the A380s will also be equipped with free ultra-fast connection, allowing seamless streaming, work and browsing in all classrooms.
Loyalty program
For frequent flyers, 2025 also marked 25 years of Emirates Skywards , with the loyalty programme now serving 37 million members and offering a global ecosystem of rewards, upgrades and partners, making it one of the most relevant in the industry.
Private check-in in Dubai
On the ground services side, the opening of Emirates First at Dubai Airport Terminal 3 (DXB) has introduced a private and dedicated check-in for First Class and Skywards Platinum passengers.
Travellers with autism
Emirates' commitment to more inclusive travel has led to Emirates becoming the first Autism Certified Airline™, with trained staff, on-board sensory products and travel rehearsal programmes at numerous airports. An approach that makes the flight experience more accessible and serene for everyone.
With new aircraft ordered, continued investment in cabin and services, and a network that spans every continent, Emirates closes 2025 as a year of real transformation. For passengers, it means flying further, better connected and with ever higher standards of comfort.
