Codeshare between Air Astana and Etihad Airways
Air Astana passengers can access eight new Etihad Airways destinations: Mumbai, Riyadh, Dammam, Bahrain, Cairo, Doha, Kuwait City and Muscat
Effective 26 November 2024, Air Astana and Etihad Airways are entering into an important strategic collaboration through a codeshare agreement that opens up new travel opportunities for passengers of both airlines. The partnership marks a significant step in expanding both carriers' global networks, offering greater connectivity and improved service.
Under the agreement, Air Astana passengers can access eight new destinations operated by Etihad Airways: Mumbai, Riyadh, Dammam, Bahrain, Cairo, Doha, Kuwait City and Muscat. These strategic routes provide easy access to India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, expanding travel opportunities to some of the most dynamic destinations in the Middle East and South Asia.
Connections to Etihad Airways' global network are available via connecting flights to Abu Dhabi. From there, Air Astana passengers can take advantage of the new direct flights operated by the Kazakh airline: from Astana, which have already been active since October 2024, and from Almaty, which will be operational from December 5, 2024. The codeshare agreement allows passengers to benefit from an optimized travel experience, with benefits such as integrated bookings, simplified check-in and seamless baggage transfers between the flights of the two airlines.
