Amenity kits and pajamas dedicated to American's centennial
On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, American Airlines introduces a new collection of limited edition in-flight products designed to celebrate the centennial and enhance the premium cabin passenger experience. From the beginning of April, the new amenity kits dedicated to the anniversary are available, together with premium pyjamas and the new closed slippers, developed to accompany the journey with greater comfort and an aesthetic identity linked to the history of the company.
At the heart of the initiative are three new celebratory amenity kits - Astrojet™, Silverbird™ and Forward - inspired by different eras of American Airlines history. Each kit takes up a specific visual language: Astrojet recalls the optimism of the early jet era, Silverbird is inspired by the charm of the golden age of air transport, while Forward interprets the dynamism of the company and its look towards the future in a contemporary way. The result is a proposal that combines historical memory and current design, bringing on board a product designed not only to be useful during the flight, but also pleasant to store and reuse.
For Travellers, the novelty translates into differentiated equipment depending on the cabin. In Flagship First® and Flagship Suite® Preferred, kits include premium centennial eye mask and socks, Joanna Vargas Cosmetic Sheet Mask, Joanna Vargas Eye Contour Patch, Folding Comb, Mouthwash, 10-gram Colgate toothpaste, and bamboo toothbrush.
In the Flagship Business® and Flagship Suite® there are premium centennial masks and socks, Joanna Vargas patches, 10-gram Colgate toothpaste and bamboo toothbrush. In Premium Economy, passengers receive premium centennial masks and socks, as well as 5-gram Colgate toothpaste.
The centenary beauty kits have been designed with an aesthetic closer to lifestyle accessories, so as to be useful even after the flight.
Also in April, the company also introduces limited edition pajamas inspired by the same three celebratory eras. They maintain the comfortable fit already appreciated by passengers, but come with a new shade of intense blue and discreet logos dedicated to the Astrojet, Silverbird and Forward lines. In the same period, the new closed-front slippers will also arrive, developed based on passenger feedback to offer a feeling of greater comfort during the journey.
Pajamas and slippers are available to Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred passengers, while in Flagship Business they will be offered on ultra-long-haul flights to and from the Middle East, Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand.
The new products are part of a larger program with which American Airlines is celebrating its centennial throughout the year. The initiatives also include special liveries, a celebratory menu on board, renewed service in the premium cabins, dedicated communication in the lounges and on digital channels, as well as a specific entertainment channel.
