Pokémon celebrates 30 years at Singapore Changi Airport

Until January 3, 2027, Changi and Jewel are transformed with installations, meet & greets, gaming activities and exclusive products dedicated to the anniversary

Singapore Airport is celebrating Pokémon's 30th anniversary with "PokéXciting!", a program of events and activities involving all four terminals and Jewel Changi Airport from November until January 3, 2027. The initiative transforms the airport into a great Pokémon experience with installations, shows, gaming, shopping and encounters with the most famous characters of the franchise.

One of the highlights is scheduled for November 7 and 8 at Jewel's Forest Valley, where a parade debuts for the first time in Asia with all 27 first Pokémon partners from the nine generations of the video game series, accompanied by two Pikachu. Access to the parade is free but requires on-site registration and limited availability.

At Terminal 3, the "PokéXciting! Stage" hosts shows dedicated to Pikachu and EDM music sessions during the opening weekend. From November 9 to January 3, the same space is transformed into a winter setting with daily snow shows, while on weekends until December 20 there will be meet & greets with characters such as Pikachu, Eevee, Gengar, Mimikyu, Piplup and Snorlax.

Over 30 Pokémon installations at the Jewel

Jewel also becomes an integral part of the experience with four themed areas dedicated to Eevee Evolutions, Snorlax, Mewtwo and Pikachu. In total, there are more than 30 installations, also designed as photographic scenes for visitors. The opportunities to take images continue in Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4, where the gardens and green spaces of the airport host Pokémon installations.

Video Games and Pokémon Trading Card Game

A Pokémon Experience Lounge also opens at Terminal 3 where visitors can try out video games, participate in tutorials dedicated to the Pokémon Trading Card Game and challenge other players. Admission is free, but Changi recommends booking in advance through its app because places are limited.

At the Jewel, on the other hand, a course from Basement 1 to Level 5 displays enlarged versions of the cards dedicated to the 27 Pokémon first partners. A TCG Quiz Rally also allows you to explore the spaces and obtain, by completing the course, a special postcard dedicated to the 30th anniversary.

Pokémon GO also enters the program: at Terminal 3 it is possible to collect a special "PokéXciting! Pikachu" stamp available exclusively in Singapore, while from November 7 to December 8 five PokéStops distributed between the airport and Jewel allow you to participate in a specific digital Stamp Rally.

Pop-up stores and exclusive products for the 30th anniversary

Shopping is another central element of the initiative. Pokémon Pop-Up Stores are available in Terminal 3, Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 with merchandise dedicated to the 30th anniversary. By spending at least 60 Singapore dollars on a single receipt at participating stores in Changi, Jewel or on iShopChangi, visitors can also access to purchase a selection of special products available exclusively during the initiative. These include a Pokémon travel blanket, thermal tumblers, Pikachu and Eevee stuffed animals, and cabin and check-in suitcases. An umbrella is also available at the Jewel in two different versions, while at Terminal 3 caps and Poké Ball Bags can be customized with name embroidery and charms. For fans there is also a special edition of the "PokéXciting! Pikachu" bag charm, available exclusively at the Pokémon Center Singapore on November 7 and 8 and while supplies last.

With "PokéXciting!", Changi Festive Village 2026 thus becomes an experience that involves both those who depart and arrive in Singapore and those who visit Jewel without taking a flight. For two months, Pokémon's 30th anniversary enters the journey through shows, installations, games and shopping, reinforcing Changi's role as an airport where time spent before or after the flight becomes an integral part of the destination experience.
