New Duty Free at Tirana Airport

Lagardère Travel Retail has officially started Duty Free operations at Tirana International Airport (TIA), consolidating its presence in the Balkans and marking an important collaboration with the Kastrati Group.

 

The agreement, launched in October 2023, comes at a crucial time for Albania, which is experiencing record growth in the tourism sector, with a doubling of the economic impact of tourism in 2023. Lagardère Travel Retail will become the exclusive operator of Tirana Airport's Duty Free, introducing an innovative and diversified offer, with exclusive products that combine international standards and local culture.

 

Following the official takeover of operations in January 2025, Lagardère Travel Retail will launch an ambitious renewal programme, which will include:
 ► restyling of the existing Duty Free, starting from March 2025,
► expansion of the terminal to support the growing passenger traffic.

 

With more than 60 years of experience in the Duty Free sector, Lagardère Travel Retail brings innovation and international know-how to Albania, while the Kastrati Group ensures a solid local presence. Together, they aim to create a premium airport shopping offering that meets the needs of international travelers and local consumers.
