New restaurants at Riyadh airport
Avolta strengthens its presence in Saudi Arabia and expands its food & beverage offer at Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, one of the Kingdom's strategic airports. The group active in travel retail and airport catering now has 16 points of sale in the Saudi airport.
The latest phase of development led to the opening of six new catering outlets in four months, consolidating Avolta's role in the Saudi market and enriching the experience of passengers departing, arriving or transiting through Riyadh. The new offer combines international brands, local concepts and regional proposals, with a mix designed to meet different travel needs: coffee shops, quick service, take-away solutions and a hybrid Hudson Café format. For passengers, it means they can choose between a quick break before boarding, a coffee, a more complete meal or an option to take on board.
One of the central elements of the project is the Oasis Food Court, a space inspired by the desert landscape of Riyadh. The area is characterized by sculptural metal trees that delimit the seating areas, creating a recognizable and functional environment, designed to accommodate high passenger flows without sacrificing comfort. The food court offers fast food, Arabic cuisine and international dishes, with show cooking experiences that bring some local gastronomic traditions to the airport. Offerings include shawarma skewers and grill stations, designed to give Travellers a taste of regional cuisine even during their time in the terminal.
Among the most relevant news is also the opening of Urth Caffé, which marks the debut of the Californian brand in an airport outside the United States. The concept introduces a proposal oriented towards quality and well-being at the airport, further expanding the choice for those looking for a more refined dining experience before the flight.
The expansion of the catering offer is part of the path to improve the passenger experience at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. For those traveling to or from the Saudi capital, the airport experience becomes more complete, with a more varied, accessible gastronomic offer consistent with the Kingdom's tourist evolution.
