The new 48-meter full custom superyacht by Baglietto, Floating Life and Volvo Penta

Three protagonists of international luxury yachting, Baglietto, Floating Life and Volvo Penta, present a new 48-meter full custom superyacht, the result of a shared vision aimed at creating a unique boat, capable of expressing the personality of its owner to the fullest and of tackling cruises around the world. The project, identified as hull number 10277, is the result of a tailor-made approach that combines engineering research with the utmost attention to comfort and experience on board. The goal is to offer safe, efficient and refined navigation, capable of combining performance and respect for the environment.

Nature-inspired design and comfort
The exterior and interior design, developed by Floating Life in collaboration with Satura Studio, favors harmony between indoor and outdoor environments. Large 360° panoramic windows, natural materials and fluid surfaces create a constant dialogue with the sea and light.
The layout of the spaces, with an uninterrupted lower deck and the engine room positioned on the lower deck, optimises volumes and livability, ensuring absolute comfort in all sailing conditions.
Designed to achieve the ICE CLASS 1D classification, the new yacht is designed to face extreme environments and sailing at high latitudes. The hull, designed to reduce drag, allows a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles, with a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 30%.

Innovation and custom functionality
A distinctive element of the project is the launching system of the 10-metre tender, custom-developed in collaboration with Besenzoni. Inspired by the historic hauling systems of Italian shipyards, it has been reinterpreted in a contemporary key to ensure efficiency, speed and safety. A retractable platform allows direct launch into the sea and recovery of the tender in an optimized way, representing an exclusive solution in the international nautical scene.

Next-generation propulsion
Propulsion will be entrusted to the Volvo Penta IPS Professional Platform, the most advanced system available in the superyacht sector. The fully integrated architecture, from rudder to propeller, provides a smooth, efficient and precise sailing experience. The dual power input allows the combination of different energy sources, ensuring flexibility and safety even in complex scenarios.
The Eco Mode function automatically optimises engine operation, reducing fuel consumption, emissions and noise, while improving on-board comfort. The compactness of the system frees up valuable space in the engine room, to be allocated to additional areas for the owner, guests and crew.
