Elite sailing reveals its wonders in Cannes
In the Mediterranean of refinement, where nautical excellence meets art de vivre, the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 returns to shine as the stage par excellence for floating luxury. And this year it does so with a selection of ten new sailboats, presented as world premieres, which redefine the horizon of elegance and technology for the high-end.
From 9 to 14 September, between the Vieux Port and the Port Canto, the nautical elite will meet to celebrate a new generation of sailing yachts, true masterpieces of naval design that combine performance, sustainability and interiors worthy of the best residences on the sea.
The Port Canto Sailing Area, with over 850 meters of quay dedicated to monohulls and multihulls over 10 meters, hosts 128 models, of which about thirty are world premieres, in what is considered the most prestigious show in the world for sailing yachts.
Among these, ten jewels stand out: from the Wallywind 110 - a majestic 33-metre carbon yacht, an icon of the new Ferretti Group course - to the Lagoon Eighty 2, the queen of cruising catamarans, designed to sail the oceans with discreet opulence.
The catamaran segment presents cutting-edge solutions such as the MODX 70, a revolutionary zero-emission electric catamaran built with recyclable materials and silent propulsion, or the New 41 by Fountaine Pajot, compact, elegant and powered by a latest generation hybrid system.
The future meets tradition also in monohulls: the Swan 51, designed by Germán Frers for Nautor Swan, redefines the concept of performance cruiser with refined lines and light wood interiors that recall Finnish heritage. From Italy comes the ICE64 Explorer, designed for offshore sailing with a robust soul and an on-board philosophy that blends luxury and adventure.
Each boat tells a vision, an aesthetic and technical need, a personalized response to the expectations of the most demanding traveler. Whether it is the HH44, a high-performance American multihull, or the Seawind 1370, built in Turkey for long ocean crossings, the approach is common: to offer a unique experience, between superior comfort, generous spaces and respect for the environment.
And then there is the scenography: Cannes, with its terraces overlooking the sea, the cocktails between owners and designers, the golden moorings from the sunset, is more than a fair. It is the place where the luxury route of the future is revealed. Here, sailing becomes art to collect.
The event confirms itself not only as a showcase of novelties, but as a meeting point for the global protagonists of high-end boating. Alongside the boats, in fact, exhibitors and shipyards tell the latest developments in sustainability, smart materials and lifestyle on board, while RX, the organizer of the event, continues to guarantee an international level that combines business and vision.
Those who sail know that luxury is not just a destination, but a way of traveling. And in Cannes, this concept takes shape, between nautical tailoring and cutting-edge technology. Sailing here has never been more desirable.
The appointment is therefore at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Vieux Port and Port Canto, from 9 to 14 September 2025, to admire an impressive collection of prestigious yachts, innovative motorboats, sailboats and multihulls with a distinctive design. Info: www.cannesyachtingfestival.com
