Guerlain renews Orchidée Impériale with Le Concentré de Longévité

Guerlain expands its Orchidée Impériale line with the new Le Concentré de Longévité, an anti-aging serum that brings together twenty years of the Maison's research on skin longevity. The formula, available from September 2026, contains 95% ingredients of natural origin and is offered in a 30 ml refillable bottle.    

The new treatment is the result of the evolution of the Orchid Longevity technology, developed from the Vanda coerulea and studied by Guerlain as part of the research conducted by the Orchidarium, the center dedicated to the study of orchids. Since 2006, the Orchidée Impériale line has focused on the biological mechanisms related to skin aging, with a path that has led the Maison to study different biomarkers and pathways of cellular longevity.    

Enhanced technology for mitophagy
The main novelty concerns the extension of Orchid Longevity technology to an additional longevity pathway: mitophagy, the cellular process that helps eliminate damaged mitochondria and keep energy production more efficient.
To do this, Guerlain has enriched the formula with a Phagoactive and encapsulated the technology in billions of liposomes, delivery systems designed to promote the diffusion of active ingredients in the epidermis. According to the tests carried out, this technology achieves a diffusion of up to 67% in the epidermis. Guerlain also reports experimental results relating to mitochondrial renewal and elastin quality, with increases measured in in vitro and ex vivo tests.   

Plumping, moisturizing and lifting formula
Le Concentré de Longévité combines Orchid Longevity technology with a complex of tensor polymers, a duo of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acids and a mixture of volumizing polyglycerols.
According to Guerlain, the treatment has been formulated to perform a plumping, moisturizing and lifting action, with a fresh and velvety texture. After a week, perceived improvements in terms of smoothness, radiance and elasticity, while after a month, the clinical evaluation indicates a more toned, dense and plumped skin. The results come from tests conducted on 30 people with two applications a day.    

A new refillable bottle
For the first time, the Orchidée Impériale serum is presented in a refillable pack. According to the life cycle analysis indicated by Guerlain, using the bottle with one refill reduces the environmental impact by 35% compared to buying two complete packs. 

The new Le Concentré de Longévité is available from September 2026 at the recommended price of €515 for 30 ml, while the 30 ml refill is offered at €438. And, with this launch, Guerlain updates one of Orchidée Impériale's central treatments by combining research on cellular longevity, cosmetic actives and refillable packaging, maintaining the focus of the line on the relationship between skin biology and visible signs of ageing.
