Luxury Hotels & Resorts in Mauritius

Mauritian luxury hotel group Sun Resorts enters a new era: Sunlife
The celebrated Mauritian hospitality brand, formerly known as Sun Resorts, presents Sunlife, its electrifying rebranding. The Mauritian hotel group has announced the rebranding to Sunlife: not just a new name, but a philosophy and cultural heritage used to reinvent all aspects of the experience in its resorts, based on the group's more than 45-year history. The rebranding includes the new "Come Alive Collection", a range of unique guest experiences, including the Energy Gym, the Sega Zoomba and the Putting on the Ritz, to name a few.

The brand operates four luxury hotels in Mauritius: Sugar Beach and Long Beach (five stars), La Pirogue and Ambre (four stars), along with the private island Ile aux Cerfs, home to the famous golf course, Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club. And Sunlife has involved all these realities. With a carefully defined vision, purpose and values, Sunlife's rebranding is not limited to the surface – it breathes new life not only to the resorts, but to the entire brand.

The renowned hotel group has built a reputation as one of the leading hospitality brands in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean. The rebranding has taken the most recognizable element of the brand, the sun, and combined it with the element of life, which tells the story of the energy and rebirth that this project wants to tell. The concepts of the individual resorts show a new visual identity, which tells both their individuality and their belonging to the Sunlife brand.  a ray of sunshine runs through the symbols that interact with the brand, illustrating the dynamic relationship between Sunlife and its resorts.

Sunlife's rebrand is much more than a name change: it reinvigorates the soul and spirit of Sun and its resorts with a new look, a functional website and an in-resort app that makes the guest experience more unique and interactive, who can manage it from their smartphone from the moment of booking, and then discover all the proposals and features of the structure once they arrive. The rebranding focused on the spreading the spirit of kindness of the Sun brand and the renewed passion of the staff, who radiate the magic of Mauritius in everything they do.

The new Come Alive Collection is a key element of the rebranding project and introduces a series of special proposals available in all Sunlife resorts, and fully in line with the brand's values. The project involved all resorts, optimizing each sub-brand with the same Sunlife philosophy, identifying the main and peculiar characteristics of each resort, so that guests can find the perfect facility for every need. In fact, the Come Alive Collection offers tailor-made experiences, unique to each resort.

Among the experiences in the Come Alive Collection are the Energy Gym, which combines exercise with a focus on sustainability, the Beach Squad, where a close-knit team brings innovative experiences to the beach, and IZZY the Bee, the newest team member and Sunlife mascot. The Come Alive Collection, exclusive to each resort, includes Sega Zoomba, a Mauritian fusion of the island's traditional dance, Sega, and Zumba; the Santé with its new and original line of cocktails with healing properties for the head, heart, body or soul, to calm the mind and soothe sunburn, and the Putting on the Ritz, a return to the days of glamour and evening dresses, with a makeover service and clothing rental, with a wide choice for guests.

In the five-star Sugar Beach hotel you will find a fusion of past and present, the most vintage glamour with the taste for current luxury, creating a unique holiday experience. In line with the rebranding, the resort has been totally renovated: all rooms and suites have been renovated with the new style, while the restaurants and common areas have been redesigned and updated, adding a distinctive touch of west-coast glamour.

The five-star Long Beach hotel represents the most modern soul of Mauritius, with the idea that its guests are looking for something different: here they will discover the island through a new perspective and find exciting and innovative experiences. The rooms and suites at Long Beach will be renovated by June 2023, with a makeover in line with the airy and fresh atmosphere of the resort, and so is the new Tides restaurant.

At La Pirogue, the focus is on exploration: guests are encouraged to discover more about the resort and experience a true and authentic Mauritius, with a village-like feel that is the resort's theme, echoing the colors and vibrancy of the island.
Sunlife's sustainability program is committed to opening doors to sustainable travel propositions, ensuring that all Sunlife properties are eco-friendly and environmentally friendly on the island.
