Gran Hotel Ampezzo: elegant hospitality in Cortina
A new reference in alpine luxury, designed for demanding Travellers who want to experience Cortina with style, comfort and authenticity. Among the majestic peaks of the Dolomites, a few steps from the historic center of Cortina d'Ampezzo and the Faloria cable car, the Grand Hotel Ampezzo, a new icon of Italian hospitality, comes to life.
It officially opens on February 1, 2026 after a careful restoration that transformed a historic building from the Twenties into a refined five-star hotel, the result of the vision of the DHOM Collection Group and the interior design by the Zuretti Design studio in Nice.
The aesthetics of the new Grand Hotel Ampezzo combines the architectural tradition of Ampezzo with an elegant and measured contemporary language. The façade maintains the original cream and light blue colors, while the interiors interpret the classic style with natural materials, sartorial details and a bright color palette.
Precious woods, refined marbles and warm fabrics define the common areas and the 70 rooms, including 26 suites with spectacular views of the Dolomites. The sumptuous Ampezzo Royal Suite, measuring approximately 110 m², pays homage to the surrounding nature with the precious Italian marble "Verde Alpi".
The hall immediately introduces the soul of the project: a large bronze tree illuminated by crystal suspensions welcomes guests in a scenic environment, where inlaid marble floors and wooden paneling create a refined atmosphere.
The "Ampezzino Café" bar and the "Cucina" restaurant offer a gourmet proposal that enhances Italian cuisine, fine wines and contemporary mixology. An elegant "Hall of Mirrors", reserved for special guests, completes the gastronomic experience.
Wellness is entrusted to the new The Longevity SPA, 1,000 m² of spaces dedicated to the care of the body and mind, created in collaboration with The Longevity Suite, an Italian brand at the forefront of biohacking protocols and treatments inspired by Blue Zones. Between sauna, Turkish bath, cryotherapy area, massage cabins and a scenic pool, the spa offers personalized paths for a complete balance between energy, relaxation and vitality. A private spa is also available for exclusive experiences.
The philosophy of the hotel is also found in the rooms, embellished with Amouage amenities, an Omani maison of high artistic perfumery, present by invitation only in selected facilities of excellence. The Reflection line, 100% vegan and characterized by fine Omani frankincense, accentuates the atmosphere of luxury and well-being.
The services are completed by a Technogym gym, a hairdresser's salon, a meeting room with a view of the peaks and a large garage with 80 seats, a rare privilege in the heart of Cortina.
Perfect for skiing, lifestyle and nature enthusiasts, the Grand Hotel Ampezzo is located in a strategic position: close to the Cortina-Mandres-Faloria cable car and not far from the Lagazuoi-5 Torri lifts, offering direct access to the 1,200 km of slopes of the Dolomiti Superski. Despite being within walking distance of the bustling downtown, the hotel maintains an atmosphere of quiet and cosyness, ideal for those seeking privacy, comfort and authentic Italian hospitality.
The 2025/2026 winter season therefore marks the debut of a new charming destination: a place where elegance, hospitality culture and unique natural scenery come together in a memorable experience. The hotel is part of DHOM Collection, the nascent Italian high-end hotel group which includes the Grand Hotel Savoia - A Radisson Collection, the Boutique Hotel Lajadira, the Residence Savoia Palace and the new Grand Hotel Ampezzo, inaugurated on February 1, 2026, the second five-star proposal in the center of Cortina.
