Dassault at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas: the novelties in the Falcon range

From the Falcon 10X expected in service in 2029 to the new capabilities of the 6X, passing through the updates of the 2000LXS and the strengthening of the international service network

Dassault Aviation has selected NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas to update the market on the Falcon family's major programs. Chairman & CEO Eric Trappier pointed out that, despite the difficult geopolitical environment and other factors, the business jet industry has shown remarkable resilience, with sustained air traffic growing by 3.5% per year.

The focus of his speech was on the test campaign of the new Falcon 10X, the expansion of the 6X's operational capabilities, the evolution of the 2000LXS and investments in customer service.

Falcon 10X, in service in 2029

The most anticipated program is that of the Falcon 10X. The first aircraft made its maiden flight on June 19, 2026, while a second aircraft entered the test campaign on September 24. Two more aircraft will be added to the program later, both with fully equipped interiors.

The tests are progressively verifying the behavior of the aircraft at the different speeds, altitudes and operating conditions expected for certification. According to Dassault, the performance is meeting expectations and the certification process is already underway. Based on the current test schedule, the Falcon 10X is scheduled to enter service in 2029.

Falcon 6X, new operational possibilities

Three years after entering service, the Falcon 6X continues to expand its capabilities. The business jet has obtained new operational approvals for airports such as London City and La Môle-Saint-Tropez, increasing the chances of reaching particularly selective stopovers close to the final destination.

Dassault is also introducing new connectivity solutions, including Starlink, while the 6X is expected to soon gain the ability to land at airports located up to 14,000 feet in altitude. Expanded airport accessibility means greater flexibility in flight planning, especially to destinations where runway or airport characteristics limit the use of large business jets.

While, the Falcon 8X continues to represent one of the reference models in the range for comfort and performance and is also used in government missions.

Falcon 2000LXS upgrades to EASy IV

Another important update concerns the Falcon 2000LXS, a model with a range of 4,000 nautical miles and particularly appreciated for its efficiency and performance on short runways.

Dassault has decided to replace the current EASy II flight deck with the new generation EASy IV, already adopted on the latest Falcon platforms. The system will be introduced on the new aircraft and can be installed as a retrofit on the Falcon 2000-EASy already in service without replacing the jet. In this way, EASy IV makes the Falcon 2000LXS more modern and safer.

On a technical level, the update includes increased processing capacity, sharper displays, new features for Jeppesen charts, mobile airport maps in 2D and 3D, and a next-generation flight management system with RNP approach capability.

The Falcon 2000 family is the best-selling business jet in the manufacturer's history, with more than 700 examples produced since its entry into service in 1995. And EASy IV now makes the Falcon 2000LXS more compatible with the most advanced navigation procedures, from flight management to low-visibility operations.

Dassault Service Network

Alongside the development of aircraft, the French manufacturer continues to enhance customer service to support the Falcon fleet already in operation and prepare the network for the entry into service of the new Falcon 10X. In 2026, Dassault celebrates the first anniversary of the MRO center in Melbourne, Florida, a reference facility for the Americas.

Investments also continue in the Dassault MRO center in Reno, Nevada in the western United States, important for supporting operators in the western United States. The international network also includes important facilities in Malaysia and Dubai, while Dassault reports progress in the availability and support of spare parts.
