Starlink connectivity for Cessna Citation Latitude
Textron Aviation, part of the Textron Inc. Group, has announced a decisive step in the evolution of in-flight services: Starlink high-speed Internet connectivity for the Cessna Citation Latitude, thanks to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) recent release of AeroMech's Supplemental Type Certificate (STC).
The installation, based on Starlink's constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, offers a reliable connection even on remote routes, over oceans or isolated areas, where traditional in-flight Wi-Fi may not be available. "With Starlink connectivity now available as an upgrade, Citation Latitude customers can enjoy a smooth, high-speed flight experience that keeps them connected in more destinations," said Brian Rohloff, Senior Vice President of Customer Service at Textron Aviation, noting that the innovation strengthens the positioning of the Cessna Citation Latitude as the world's best-selling mid-size business jet, known for comfort and performance.
Citation Latitude owners can schedule the upgrade at Textron Aviation Service Centers in North America and at international facilities. The STC developed by AeroMech involves the installation of a Starlink aeronautical kit. Starlink – SpaceX's constellation – provides high-speed, low-latency broadband connectivity around the world, enabling streaming, video conferencing and gaming even during long-haul flights.
Under the Beechcraft and Cessna brands, Textron Aviation has more than 300 authorized service centers worldwide, supported by a fleet of more than 40 mobile units for direct customer service. The company thus offers a complete support service for the entire life cycle of aircraft, from private jets to turboprops.
