EBACE 2025: European Business Aviation looks to the future
The 2025 edition of the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), held from 20 to 22 May at the Palexpo in Geneva, has come to an end. This edition marked a significant turning point, being the first to be organised entirely by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), which introduced a new format focused on high-quality content and networking opportunities, in the absence of the traditional static aircraft exhibition.
An evolving industry: data and trends
During the inaugural session "State of the Industry: Latest Insights on European Business Aviation", industry experts highlighted that business aviation in Europe records more than 1.5 million annual movements, supported by a diverse fleet of more than 4,000 aircraft. Despite regulatory and geopolitical challenges, the industry is showing signs of growth, with an increase in flight hours and aircraft transactions, also driven by a new generation of users and owners.
Innovation and sustainability at the center
EBACE25 has placed an emphasis on innovation and sustainability. Discussions focused on the adoption of sustainable fuels (SAF) and the challenges posed by new European legislation, such as the ReFuelEU Regulation. Operators and producers shared strategies to adapt to these evolutions, underlining the importance of a collective commitment to a greener future.
Advocacy and institutional representation
The EBAA has presented its new advocacy manifesto, outlining priorities for the protection and promotion of business aviation in Europe. Among the initiatives, the organization announced the European Business Aviation Summit (EBAS), scheduled for October 1, 2025, as a platform to dialogue with European policymakers and strengthen the position of the sector.
Conclusions and future prospects
EBACE25 represented a turning point for European business aviation, offering a renewed and forward-looking vision. With a focus on innovation, sustainability and advocacy, the event has cemented its position as a must-attend event for industry professionals. The appointment is now for EBACE26, with the aim of continuing to lead the evolution of business aviation in Europe.
