Bombardier Global 8000 sets a new record in in-flight comfort
Bombardier announces a new milestone for its Global 8000, the fastest and longest-range four-zone business jet in its class. The jet set a new benchmark for passenger comfort by reaching a cabin altitude of just 2,691 feet at 41,000 feet altitude, the lowest value ever achieved in business aviation.
This extraordinary result, higher than initial estimates, allows passengers to perceive an environment similar to that which would be felt on the top of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world, while traveling at an altitude of over 12,000 meters. The goal is to ensure maximum physical well-being, reducing the effects of pressurization and allowing you to arrive at your destination more rested, lucid and ready to face commitments.
"True luxury in the air is feeling at home", said Stephen McCullough, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Product Development at Bombardier. "We have focused our attention on the passenger experience and the needs of ultra-long range flights. With this first-in-class cabin occupancy reduction, along with many other design innovations, we offer the most comfortable flying experience in the industry. The Global 8000 represents the pinnacle of contemporary aeronautical engineering, combining exceptional performance with an unprecedented level of comfort".
The new cabin height integrates perfectly with Bombardier's Pũr Air system, equipped with HEPA filtration, which ensures constant exchange and superior air quality. The combination of these elements sets a new standard for the well-being and comfort of passengers on board.
This milestone follows another technical achievement: the confirmation of the top speed of Mach 0.95, which makes the Global 8000 the fastest civilian jet since the Concorde. Expected to enter service in 2025, the Bombardier Global 8000 stands out for its range of 8,000 nautical miles and its ability to combine power, elegance and roominess. With its four living zones and unrivaled performance, it positions itself as the ultimate example of a home or office in the skies, capable of flying faster and farther than any other ultra-long-range business jet.
