Aero Friedrichshafen 2026: Record number of exhibitors and expanded airshow
AERO Friedrichshafen 2026 confirms itself as an international reference event for general aviation, business aviation and air sports. This year's edition marks a new record with about 820 exhibitors from over 50 countries, testifying to the growing centrality of the event in the European aeronautical scene. The event, hosted in the Friedrichshafen exhibition center with direct access to Lake Constance airport, stands out for an increasingly advanced format, capable of combining professional content, technological innovation and experiences for the public.
Among the main novelties of 2026 is the debut of the Guided Tours program, designed to offer more structured access to the contents of the fair. In small groups and with the guidance of experts, visitors will be able to learn more about strategic topics such as sustainable aviation, innovative propulsion systems, technological innovations and career opportunities in business aviation. An initiative that responds to the need to make the visit more effective, facilitating direct dialogue with exhibitors and enhancing the skills present at the fair. A distinctive element of AERO is the infrastructure of the exhibition center, unique in Europe for its direct connection to the airport. Aircraft can be transferred directly from the operating spaces to the exhibition area, creating continuity between flight and exhibition activities. In 2026, the static display reaches record numbers, with 35 aircraft on display, offering a comprehensive overview of industry innovations.
The most awaited moment will be Saturday 25 April, a day dedicated to the general public and families. The absolute protagonist will be the airshow, for years one of the most popular events of the event, which for this edition offers an expanded program. On the calendar parachute jumps, formation flights and spectacular aerobatic performances, with the grand finale entrusted to the Flying Bulls and the maneuvers of the famous BO-105 helicopter. To complete the day, a meet & greet with the riders and activities dedicated to the youngest, including a Kids Area and family tickets at a discounted rate.
Alongside the traditional program, AERO introduces the Creator Panels, a new format designed to engage the younger and more digital audience. Influencers and content creators from the aviation sector will take the stage at the Innovation Stage, protagonists of meetings and talks that combine dissemination, storytelling and entertainment. An initiative that reflects the evolution of the sector and the growing importance of digital channels in telling the story of the world of aviation.
AERO Friedrichshafen consolidates its role as a global platform for general aviation with growing numbers and an increasingly diversified offering. The fair confirms itself not only as a place for business and networking, but also as a space open to discovery, capable of bringing the general public closer to a constantly evolving sector.
