New private terminal in Savannah for Signature Aviation
Signature Aviation, the world's largest network of private aviation terminals, completes the first phase of its new and exclusive terminal at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV). This first step marks the beginning of an ambitious project, designed to elevate the experience of business aviation passengers and lay the foundations for future expansions.
The new terminal has been strategically positioned to serve the main economic and tourism sectors of Savannah, one of the most iconic and historic cities in the southeastern United States. The location allows quick and direct access to downtown Savannah and surrounding business areas, serving as a key hub for local industry: tourism, aerospace, electric vehicle manufacturing, and logistics. The region is also home to the fastest-growing port on the East Coast and the U.S. Gulf.
The new structure offers a range of innovative services to ensure maximum comfort for guests. New features include a completely redesigned crew lounge and conference room, bright and welcoming environments that recall Savannah's rich artistic heritage, enriched by a well-stocked courtesy bar. In addition, 22,000 square meters of new hangars were inaugurated, designed according to energy efficiency criteria.
Vehicle services have also been enhanced: an electric car charging station has been installed in front of the terminal, giving passengers with battery-powered vehicles convenient immediate access to charging.
As specified by Derek DeCross, Chief Commercial Officer of Signature Aviation, the new private terminal in Savannah offers excellent hospitality and services are already available while those that will be introduced in the future will enrich the guest experience, creating memorable moments for those traveling to this historic area.
The next phases of the project include further expansions, with new spaces for hangars, offices and other areas dedicated to passengers. The opening of the Savannah terminal follows the recent opening of the new Signature facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In the coming months, the Signature network plans to open renovated or newly built terminals in Raleigh-Durham, Palm Beach and Westhampton Beach.
