BGY Executive: the excellence of private flight at Milan Bergamo Airport
With the introduction of the BGY EXECUTIVE brand, Milan Bergamo Airport officially inaugurates the new structure reserved for general aviation, operational in the northern area of the airport grounds near Varco Doganale 2. This space, designed to ensure privacy, independent access and personalized services, is now the reference point for private flights, managed completely outside commercial traffic and the main passenger terminal.
On the ground floor, the structure houses all the reception and management operations for passengers, pilots and crews, in collaboration with the airport and customs authorities, with professional equipment and dedicated services.
The reception of crews and passengers of private flights is on the first floor, where two lounges are set up managed by high-profile operators in the private aviation scene: Italy FBO (Delta Aerotaxi) and Skyservices.
Both already active in important Italian airports, they offer complete management of private flights, from ground services to in-flight assistance, with a standard of comfort and discretion designed for the most demanding customers.
The creation of BGY EXECUTIVE and its ad-hoc structure stems from the growing demand for private flights linked to events, fashion, business or high-end gastronomy, easily accessible once landed at Milan Bergamo Airport. To which is added the importance of the strong and dynamic industrial economic fabric present throughout the East of Lombardy.
"We celebrate with great satisfaction the opening at Milan Bergamo Airport of a facility dedicated exclusively to general aviation flights, with lounges managed by Italy FBO and Skyservices, two well-known Italian FBOs," said Giacomo Cattaneo, SACBO aviation sales director. A further feather in the cap of our airport which has identified in the northern area of the airport grounds the spaces of BGY EXECUTIVE, accessible through a separate road system from the commercial aviation passenger terminal, and which allow airport procedures to be carried out on site, thanks to the collaboration of State Bodies (Enac, Border Police, Guardia di Finanza, Customs and Monopolies Agency), both departing and arriving.
Also specifying that the "General aviation traffic, in many cases on intercontinental routes, is constantly growing and the concentration of the industrial fabric, as well as the proximity of places of strong tourist attraction, lead us to choose our airport as the optimal logistics solution".
