Pristina Adem Jashari International Airport was named after Adem Jashari, one of the founders and commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. The only international airport in Kosovo, it is located 15 km from the capital Pristina and offers flights to several European destinations served by both low-cost and traditional airlines.
In 2011, the management of the airport was entrusted to Limak Kosovo International AirportJ.S.C., which built the new terminal in 2013 and expanded the runway from 2,500 to 3,040 meters, reaching category III B. The airport is also committed to adopting environmental best practices and has become one of the zero-emission airports.
The airport offers several passenger facilities including bars, restaurants, shops and a Duty Free as well as a lounge for frequent flyers.
