Velana International Airport is also known as Malé International Airport and is the main international airport of the Maldives.
Malé Airport is located on the island of Hulhulé in the North Malé Atoll, near the capital Malé. The airport is connected to the main airports and has a prevalent tourist traffic, for vacation in the Maldives.
The airport has 3 Terminals: international terminal, domestic terminal and the seaplane terminal.
The airport was opened on 19 October 1960 and is managed by Maldives Airports Company Ltd.
