The Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation and SEA Milan Airports, the company that manages Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate airports, have announced the signing of an important partnership agreement that officially establishes the entry of the Milanese airports into the program of the Official Supporters of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The agreement enhances SEA's consolidated experience in the management of airport and logistics services, which represents a strategic contribution to the complex system of skills necessary to guarantee the organisational excellence of Italy's most eagerly awaited sporting event.

The partnership, signed three months before the start of the Games, confirms the central role of Malpensa and Linate as the main gateways for the more than two million people expected at the event: athletes, delegations, media, professionals and visitors from all over the world.

SEA Milan Airports will provide state-of-the-art infrastructure and personalized services to ensure an efficient and high-level reception, in line with the values of hospitality, innovation and sustainability that characterize the event.

In particular, Milan Malpensa airport will be one of the main access hubs to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. In the 60 days that will precede, accompany and follow the event, a traffic of about 340,000 passengers is expected. In the week leading up to the opening ceremony alone, Malpensa will welcome over 15,500 stakeholders and more than 150,000 spectators heading to the race venues.

During the key days of the event, the airport will handle up to 4,000 oversized luggage, including skis, snowboards and technical equipment, ensuring an efficient and dedicated service.

"Being part of this project and supporting an event that represents a historic moment for our country – said Armando Brunini, CEO and General Manager of SEA – means contributing to the success of an event that combines sport, territory and environment. This event further confirms the strategic role of our airports, accompanying Milan towards an international sporting event of extraordinary importance".
