Fiumicino best airport in Europe for the 8th consecutive year
The quality of passenger services in 2024 has been rewarded. Ciampino among the best European airports
Rome Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" airport is confirmed as the best airport in Europe in the hub category with over 40 million passengers, thanks to the excellence in the services offered to travelers. The prestigious award was awarded as part of the "Airport Service Quality" (ASQ) survey, conducted by Airports Council International (ACI) World in collaboration with Amadeus, and saw Fiumicino obtain a record score of 4.61 out of 5, the highest ever recorded.
Ciampino's "Giovan Battista Pastine" airport also stands out internationally, winning the title of "Best Airport in Europe" in the category between 2 and 5 million passengers, also obtaining for the first time the award for the "most dedicated staff in Europe".
Rome Fiumicino was also the only major international hub, together with Singapore, to win all the category awards, including:
- Airport with the Most Dedicated Staff in Europe
- Easiest Airport Journey in Europe
- Most Enjoyable Airport in Europe
- Cleanest Airport in Europe
ACI World's recognition, based on the preferences of around 700,000 passengers in over 360 global airports, confirms Fiumicino's role as a leader in the quality of services in the airport sector.
To celebrate this milestone, Aeroporti di Roma has launched a new campaign starring Adryx, the interstellar mascot of Leonardo da Vinci, which will accompany passengers in an immersive experience between interactive games and curiosities about the airport world.
The official awarding of the awards will take place during the ACI World Airport Experience Summit, scheduled from 8 to 11 September 2025 in Guangzhou, China.
