Wizz Air launches Naples-Timisoara route
Wizz Air launches a new route between Naples and Timisoara, Romania. The connection has been active since 14 October 2025, with a three-weekly frequency (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and fares in line with the Customer First Compass program, which promotes accessible and low-cost travel.
Timisoara, nicknamed Little Vienna, is among the most charming and vibrant cities in Romania. European Capital of Culture 2023, it combines Central European architecture, historic cafes, art and relaxation. The city is also an ideal gateway to the Banat wine region.
This new route strengthens Wizz Air's Naples base, one of five in Italy, where the airline will introduce a second Airbus A321neo (the most efficient aircraft in its class) earlier from September 29, 2025, instead of the planned October 15. This update allows the early start of several routes already announced from Naples to: Chisinau from 29 September 2025; Yerevan from 29 September 2025; Brasov from 30 September 2025; Sharm el-Sheikh from 30 September 2025; Tel Aviv from October 30, 2025.
With 12 routes already operating from Naples airport and new destinations on the way, Wizz Air consolidates its low-cost offer from the Campania airport. The company now operates over 200 routes in Italy to 30 countries, and has already transported almost 100 million passengers from Italian airports.
