Vueling is the best low-cost airline in Europe 2026 according to Skytrax
Vueling has won the award for "Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe" at Skytrax's World Airline Awards 2026. The IAG group company was also ranked third among low-cost airlines worldwide and 39th in the overall ranking of the 100 best airlines in the world.
The award was presented in London during the World Airline Awards ceremony, where Vueling CEO Carolina Martinoli accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The result comes at a time of growth in operational quality. In 2025, Vueling was the second most punctual low-cost airline in Europe, with 81.44% of flights operated on time, while in the first half of 2026 punctuality rose to 84.3%. In July, the airline reached first European place among low-cost airlines for punctuality.
Vueling carries more than 40 million passengers every year and serves almost 100 destinations in 30 countries in Europe and North Africa. In recent months, it has also relaunched the Vueling Club, expanded its offer with Vueling Holidays and introduced a new in-flight entertainment platform with TV series, films and Wi-Fi.
The World Airline Awards are based on an independent global passenger satisfaction survey. The 2026 edition collected 24.8 million valid responses from Travellers of over 100 nationalities and included more than 300 airlines in the results.
