Volotea takes off from Bari to Lille
The airline Volotea continues to invest in Puglia with the announcement of the new direct Bari-Lille connection, operational from 23 May 2026 with two weekly frequencies, every Wednesday and Saturday, for a total of over 14,000 seats available in the summer season.
With Lille, there are now three French destinations that can be reached from Bari with Volotea, along with Bordeaux and Lyon. The expansion consolidates the company's role in the development of international connections at the Bari airport and helps to strengthen connectivity between Puglia and the French tourist market, which has always been one of the most interested in the beauty of Southern Italy.
The new route will facilitate incoming tourist flows to Puglia, offering French Travellers direct access to a region rich in natural, cultural and food and wine attractions, but also outbound to France, with an ideal destination for city breaks, cultural tourism and business trips.
During the winter season, Volotea will maintain connections with Bordeaux and Lyon also during the Christmas period, further expanding travel opportunities between the two regions. In addition, in the summer, there is the Brindisi – Nantes flight, which completes the network of direct connections between Puglia and France.
